We have received a small amount of 2000 Boglietti Barolo Brunate. Brunate is the greatest vineyard of the Barolo area. Barolo, as you know, is in the top echelon of Italian wine. I have tasted it with 3 restaurants last week and placed it in all 3. The wine is haunting with a composition of red and black fruit, smoke and chocolates. - Rex Perry Wine Spectator: Rich and round, with loads of ripe fruit and chocolate, vanilla character. Full-bodied, with ripe and round tannins and a long unctuous finish. Serious 2000. Best after 2008. 260 cases made. (JS) 93 points Robert Parker: The 2000 Barolo Brunate is smoky and endowed with the anisette and tar notes of Nebbiolo. The flavors are more concentrated than the Case Nere, the body firmer and more sustained, and the finish longer as well. Drink: 2005-2017. 90 points
